As an Independent Sales Representative with American Oak Barrel, you will have the opportunity to manage your own business and territory selling really cool products while working with a company that truly cares about its team of sales partners. Independent Sales Representatives have uncapped earning potential that is rewarded through hard work and exceptional customer service.  You will be selling authentic oak barrels and barrel products to various commercial businesses within a designated territory.  You will be able to create unique branding opportunities with those clients.  Additionally, you will work with event promoters to exhibit our products at targeted events.

Job Responsibilities

In addition to demonstrating direct sales, customer service and business development expertise, our Independent Sales Representatives have additional responsibilities, including: 

  • Building strong long-term customer relationships and managing accounts
  • Acting as an independent contractor handling business development
  • Selling American Oak Barrel products and services to commercial businesses within a protected territory
  • Introducing clients to the products by conducting presentations to key decision-makers
  • Prospecting and developing accounts and growing strategic relationships
  • Demonstrating proficiency with skills in product knowledge and contact resource management
  • Using strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor to sell and service new and current business

Job Requirements

  • Four year college degree (focus on business or related field a plus)
  • Prior Sales Experience - At least 3 years 
  • Good Credit is Required
  • A Multiple-Step Interview Process is Required
  • Can demonstrate a passion for sales and a track record of success
  • Has an entrepreneurial spirit and competitive nature
  • Must possess exemplary communication skills and have superior listening skills
  • Excellent customer service and client development skills
  • Self-starter who is not afraid of hard work and who enjoys working in a sales environment
  • Highly motivated and goal-oriented
  • Takes direction well while also demonstrating leadership capabilities
  • Creative decision making skills and proven ability to work independently
